The Plant & Human Relationship

By many, plants are considered merely resources. They have been stripped of their importance and exploited in our modern culture. We have lost touch with our critical relationship to plants.

Think on this

If we humans did not exist, plants would. If plants did not exist, we humans would not. Plants provide the air we breathe; the food we eat; materials for shelter, clothing, tools; and the knowledge we seek.

How to repair your relationship to plants?

Begin by remembering that plant life began approximately 700 million years ago. Homo sapiens, 200-300 thousand. Acknowledge the deep history of plants and end putting them in the background for your own benefit.

This will help shift your perspective on the human to plant relationship. There are severe consequences if we become too disconnected and we are seeing this is our world right now with climate change, over consumption and deforestation.
